What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
What have you learnt about technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
Throughout
my project I have used a variety of equipment and programs in order to create
my products…
The
camera I used was cannon powershot sx220 to capture all of my images for each
product development, I put the setting at neutral to allow for a natural
lighting in the photos so it doesn’t take away from the quality of the images.
I have however learned that by using a DSI.R would further apply a high quality
with the use of a portrait lens.
The
use of a tripod allowed me to keep the camera still so that the image is always
in focus and not blued in addition to a straight image in contrast to it being
wonky. So that the images could portray a high quality for a professional
magazine I need the images to me at the best quality as the slightest of flaws
could affect the whole overall pursuit of the magazine. By using the tripod
allowed me to understand the importance and realisation of how the slightest of
things can damage your finishing product.
My
laptop in addition to the many computers on offer at college was the most
important contribute to this task/product. It has allowed for my research to be
undertaken in order to produce my photographs- for editing and more importantly
for the productions of my products to be created. I used Photoshop mainly over
the course of the project in which I’ve learnt many attributes to make my final
product. In which I have further gained
the skill to help use this programme in future projects.
Magic
wand tool-
·
Select
the image by using the move tool
·
By
using the magic wand tool id select the image I want to take from the
background to then use as my final image on my product
·
However
if it was to select outside the image then I could use the same tool but
deselect parts to the image
·
Finally,
if the tool isn’t smooth and rough around the edges you can use the blending
tools to smooth out the edges, you can also use the radius option.
Healing
tool-
·
If
there is cover implications or marking to the image they can be hidden by using
the healing tool
·
Select
the layer of the image and click the tool
·
Then
you would click within the image, where the healing tool is needed to blend it
in to the image.
·
E.g.
I used it on my models face to give her a softer perfection where she has an
imbalance of redness.
Web
Spaces-
The
use of web spaces have played a huge role during the project. To begin with
Blogger was used to host all my work which worked alongside other web usage to
help with presentation within my blog. Although the disadvantage to work being
published online could be the effect of copyright infringement as there is then
a whole lot of legal complications which then adds to the stress of the work
ethic.
I
used other conversions such as issuu, slide share, flipsnack. I used these to
upload analysis and research to my blog this presents the data in different
ways. These are quick and easy to use so that when uploading the file to the
website you use the embed code to transfer so my blog. The only disadvantage to
this would be again the copyright/ legal obligation also keeping the files to a
minimum so it’s not too much data to be uploaded but also this is only to a low
quality.
